Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Davanagere was established in 1988. Since its inception it is conducting religious and other service activities of various kind. The fervent of desire of the devotees of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama was that it was to be affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission. Now that dream has come true by the grace of Holy Trio. We are happy to announce that Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama now renamed as Ramakrishna Mission and is an official branch center of International Organization, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
Now being a part of the Holy Order we want to extend its service activities further. We propose to start the following service activities.
- Imparting moral and spiritual culture to slum dwellers, auto drivers and other marginalised sections of Society.
- Value-Orientation programs for students and teachers
- Work-ethics programmes for the employees of various administrative departments
- Distribution of study material for the poor students in and around the town
- Relief activities when needed
- Spiritual Retreats for devotees
Our aim is to reach the noble ideas to various segments of the Society.
To undertake all these activities we need to build necessary infrastructure.
Our present needs are
- Prayer Hall
- Lecture Hall
- Dwelling rooms for monastics (Sadhus), guests and resource persons.
- Kitchen, Dining Hall
- Basic furnitures
We earnestly appeal to the people to liberally contribute to this noble cause and join us in our humble attempt to serve the people according to their needs.
